This applies to itineraries to all destinations except where government regulations may vary like Australia and on a few enhanced guidelines voyages that have their own vaccination and testing requirements.

Ship Wide Cleaning and Sanitization

Our onboard protocols include regular cleaning and sanitization of all public areas and staterooms using medical-grade disinfectant. Hand washing sinks and sanitizer dispensers are available throughout every ship. 


Enhanced Air Filtration

Ships feature enhanced air filtration with upgraded HVAC systems which are designed to replace air within public spaces and staterooms every five to six minutes. HEPA filters are used in key areas.


Expert Medical Care

Our highly trained medical staff includes doctors and nurses capable of caring for a broad range of medical conditions. Medical centers are equipped with testing and treatment capabilities.

Pre-Embarkation cancellation due to covid:

  • For those guests who test positive within 7 days of sailing then guests will be entitled to a FCC for 100% of the cancellation fee amount of non-refundable unused services or a refund on request.
  •  Princess will not arrange, pay for or reimburse any shore side accommodations related to COVID-19.
  • Any close contacts of a confirmed COVID-19 case (those in the same household or traveling companions assigned to the same stateroom) may travel if they are asymptomatic on embarkation day, test negative to an antigen test at embarkation and agree to additional testing up to 5 days from last exposure. Close contacts with a document of recovery are exempt from testing. 

On Board:

If a guest must isolate onboard then an FCC worth 100% of the per-day cruise fare paid will be given for any full day spent in isolation and a refundable credit to their onboard account for missed pre-paid onboard experiences and shore excursions purchased through cruise line, and for the refundable portion of taxes, fees, and port expenses for ports visited after disembarkation. 


Post-disembarkation:

  • All COVID related expenses will be at the guests own expense.  This includes meals – therefore the meal allowance is no longer in operation.
  • Guests will need to submit a claim to their travel protection for an expenses. Princess will not arrange, pay for or reimburse any shore side accommodations related to COVID-19 therefore we strongly recommend to take out appropriate travel insurance prior to sailing including Covid-19 protection.
  • If guests that need to change their flights to return home on different flights because of COVID, Princess will not be responsible for paying any fees/increased costs assessed by the airline for the changes.

The insurance booking must be made when you pay the confirmation deposit (this insurance can not be booked if in the confirmation time, you have to pay in full). Includes coverage for loss or damage of luggage up to $ 500 per person in any of the Princess Cruises services.

It does not include coverage of medical issues. This insurance is non refundable.
